Yh i had same problem turned out to be crank sensor

Ah did you have the same problem? Yeah might take a trip if I can get someone to take me there lol. Just to clarify, they don't need a chip do they? :lol: pretty sure they don't as ive had to have one for it :)

Yh try crank sensor then fort you had nothing lol same as mine i tryed crank sensor bingo lol and na no ecu there cheap thoe try a scrap yard

Still cranks mate but no starty :( lol. Might order crankshaft sensor tonight. Did you say you had a 2.0 8v ecu mate?

Couls be but it would still crank over? But it doesnt i would get new ecu and see if that sorts all problems

2.0 8v conversion, rubber grommet wasn't in properly but it's in now. Water thing happened a while ago, dried it out worked fine now car doesn't start. Would you say it's the ecu? Or could it be crank position sensor? because I done the paperclip test the other day and threw up codes for air temp sensor and crank position sensor? (took crank sensor off yesterday and some of the wires been melted)

Was fine yesterday (although I may need a crank sensor) but apart from that, fine. There's no eml come on with all the warning lights when I turn the key. Ive got a funny feeling it's the ecu as some of the connections are rusty. Just wondering if Anybodys had the same prob?
