Common fault

Only way it to leave it plug side down in airing cupboard etc and if it works it works, if it doesnt it doesnt

Don't think it's actually gone in it but I know for sure it's got on the pins, is there anyway to dry this out? And would it work ok if I tried? Or is it totally fucked as soon as water touches it. Just put it in the aring(spelling) cupboard. The water got through the gromet hole (grommet wasn't put back In properly) anyone had this trouble?
