My 1.4 sport just bin doing this and all it was i wire had got disconnected. If u got a haynes manual it tells u in there if not i go have a look so i can describe where it is better to you

is there a temperature senser on the 1.4 16v sport which reads to the temp gauge or is it just the water temperature that reads on there cos mine started goin up an down when it feels like it but the car is perfect drives mint an no head gasket symptoms as i could see anyway?????
