It's a hex hole for an allen key on mine, early setup XE

You'll see how easy it with the ratchet, but you can waste £30 on a "special" tool if you like.

It's so easy. Plenty enough space even in a corsa bay aswell.

You set the tension with one hand and the square adaptor and lock the tensioner with a spanner when the tension is set.

whats the proper name ? so i can search for it. and dont u have to lock the tensioner in place :S u cant do that with a ratchet. my boss sed its 100 times easier using the tool but im up for giving it a go if u say its easy.

They're about £30 on eBay. I have one I've never used as I do the method described above.

There is a square cut out on the tensioner. Stick a small extension onto your 3/8 ratchet and use that.

hi, im looking to do the cambelt on my 20xe redtop engine.
However im told that i need a special tensioning tool to tension the belt. Any idea were i can buy 1 ?
ive tried all my local tool suppliers and no one sells it. Any ideas ? thanks
