There were teething problems with the kits. They did work - I have the first kit on my own Corsa, but due to problems with the manufacturer, we dropped the project.

We do have another kit now available - consisting of new backing plates. Some welding is required, but the kits come with full fitting instructions, and the parts needed to adapt the existing handbrake cable. You need to fit stub axles from an Astra GTE, etc. Price on the kits are £100 inc VAT.

[00:35:49] moshi icy: what exactly do u need for rear brake conversion
again? mate works in scrappy n he wants to do it to his
corsa
[00:36:22] JJ: ahhhh, i could tell ya but i'd have to kill ya lol
[00:36:34] moshi icy: uv told me b4 :P
[00:36:44] JJ: lol
[00:37:08] JJ: ok, best to get a rear axle from a corsa and use it for
the conversion as it can take some time
[00:37:19] JJ: also a cav sri rear axle
[00:37:33] JJ: new discs and wheel bearings
[00:37:59] JJ: then ya gotta make up the handbrake cables
[00:38:08] JJ: recondition the calipers
[00:38:24] JJ: remove the stub axles fron the cav axle
[00:39:09] JJ: grind the stub axle plates with the position holes of
from the cav axle had position and weld them to the corsa
beam
[00:39:29] JJ: drill the holes out for the stub axle
[00:39:55] JJ: then build up the axle fit the calipers, replumb thr
brakes
[00:42:55] JJ: ya got that?

do rear disk conversions make a lot of difference to the braking of the car and do they take a lot of setting up?
