yeah you need a deep swan neck spanner, i think its 18mm, adjustable spanner and 13mm socked for the turret bolts.

i'll tell you what is a bastard - getting the top of the shock undone from the chassis! you need a deep dish spanner or sumthing cos i ended up using mole grips to spin it! this was for coilovers though don't know about just springs

It's not that difficult to change springs, you just need time and care.

front springs r under alot of pressure especially standard ones (i.e not lowered) so be careful. spring compressors r 20quid in halfords

i've changed the struts before on my nova, its just changing the springs that i don't know. i think i'll take the safer option and get it done by a garage. i need my hands!!

Just looked in Machine Mart and a 3 piece coil spring compressor set is £25.95. Order code 040211224.

As long as you make a note of how the suspension came apart, and put it back together in the same order you should be OK. Also anton002 is right, try taking the old spring off and you can probably say goodbye to your hands (or worse).

i mite just get the struts off then take them down a garage and let them fit the springs.

You should be able to pick up a spring compressor for under £30 at Halfords.

dnt really know bout this but heard some people say that springs can shoot off and if they hit you could kill you .so be careful mate ,im sure you do need clamps for the front but maybe not the back

Yes you will or you won't be able to bolt the suspension back together
