ICVs are easy to clean. Just be gentle and use some carb cleaner and you should be fine. Worth a try anyway, if that doesn't work then buy a new one. At least you would have tried the free option first :thumbs: | |

you can clean the butterfly valve, but best to replace it, they aint cheap, about £75 iirc, buying second hand kind of defeats the purpose, but I suppose its an easy fix | |

think they sealed unit arnt they? nip ur scrappy get one that works just to be sure get it plugged into a code reader if ur light is on as it will of logged a fault code | |

Does that include the starting up issue too? Did you reple the ICV or just clean it (if you can?) | |

Defo the ICV as said, gf's GLS done exactly the same | |

Idle Control Valve probably. If the EM light is on then get the fault code read to be sure. | |
