if you dont know then its prob best to take it to a garage than can work on carbs

best thing you can do is take the filter off.
an rev the engine and squirt in carb cleaner.

Recently my 1985 1.2 8v Nova has had a lumpy idle. Whether its to do with the cold weather or not, I don't know. The engine runs fine the rest of the time. The idle control valve and a dirty carb have been mentioned as possible suspects, but I wouldn't even know what they look like to be honest lol.

Any ideas folks?
