You need to refit the hose obv.

Good tip. Remove the overflow hose from the header tank, put it into a bucket, then fill the header tank until you can see some clean coolant coming out of that top hose. No need to drain it or worry about air locks.

take the lid off the header tank, take the bottom hose off and thats basicaly it

you can buy ready mixed coolant from halfords, Id just do that if I was you

hi all, just wondering what is the best way to do a coolent change on a x14xe engine? is it just the case of removing the bottem hose and filling it back up again? also how much coolent needs to be mixed with the water? cheers dan.
