£80 to cut the linkage and weld a bit of plate in if I'm not mistaken? Way too steep.

ive fitted a 10mm gearbox spacer so could i still just fit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CORSA-B-TIGRA-GEAR-SHIFT-SHORTENER-2-0-16V-REDTOP-C20XE-/360300957248?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53e39c4e40 the ebay linkage instead of getting someone to weld my current one as ive been waiting 3 weeks already for them to do it for me and its gonna cost about the same price anyway

help please.....
