Anyone?

I do a lot of motorsport so have taken the alloy sump off my C16XE and fitted a steel one from a X14XE along with the pickup pipe, which is different.
I had not run the engine with the alloy sump but now it throws oil out of the rocker breather at an alarming rate at high revs. A 15 minute blast can see a quarter of a litre in the catch tank.
Does anyone know if the steel sump pressurises the engine at all and won't let it breath properly and should I re-fit the alloy sump and breather?
Anyone had this problem before?
Any help much appreciated, Graham.
