The clocks with rev counter use 3 bulbs for illumination. The usual "plug and play" leds are fitted into an Osram bulb holder that is a direct replacement for the original bulb.

Clocks without rev counter are lit by two larger bulbs, obviously fitted in larger holders. You can solder leds into these holders, but I find that the illumination from two leds is not so good, you will have bright spots where the leds are. Although you can add more leds to spread the light a little.

I found 2200+ MCD bulbs...not in blue tho :(. and those should be ok?

There is also a 160mcd UV bulb...any1 got them for dash or console??? they would look sweet but are they bright enuff?

why is the dial kit only suitable for those with rev counters?

cheers

You'll find 2200 are perfectly adequate for the centre console. You want 5mm for the console etc and 3mm if you plan on fitting them inside switches.
As Icy says above, Corsa nut will sell you a set for console mfd and dials, but only suitable for dials with a rev counter.

hi,

my bulbs have gone in centre console, so thought to change all in the car.
What do i need to get/ do to change all the bulbs to bright blue colour....do i use superbright LED's?? and just replace the exisitng lights assuming they are LED's in centre console, dash and MFD.

What millimetre, etc. are they?

I saw a post with some puttin12v LED's and a regulator in...am i gonna need that?

Maplins codes would be cool!....cheers all
