The fuel and temp guage don't move, yet the speed and rev counter work fine.

Bit bizarre..

Did you not find any loose wires?

i would take unit out and have a look to see if there is any split in the connection

Took the clocks out last nite, turned out that 1 of the cogs that turns it was stuck, so blew some compress air into it and I tried 2 turn the cog then it click, so plugged it in and it's working fine now :D

Just noticed yesterday that my mileage stop at 89999, it was working fine up until then, also the trip isnt working either but speedo is, the corsa is a x16xe, i think it could be a lose wire behind the dash, will strip it later on and see, just want to see if neone has came across this issue before??? i have changed the number 17 and 18 fuse but no different, also i had a look at the top of the gearbox to see if the sensor had came out, but its still in there
