just put some petrol down the inlet pipe and it started for a few seconds i then decided to to check fuel pump and it is the wrong fuel pump

so will have to get a x14xe fuel pump

also

could it be the egr valve fooked ??

hi just put a x14xe in to my car used to be a 1.6 8v (x16szr) but orginally out of the factory it was a 1.2 16v

it wont start from a cold start the cold start is pluged in to the back of the inlet manifold

i have blanked the egr valve off but i have a white plug with a red and blue wire also a brown and yellow wire so thats 2 wires...... it apparantly plugs in to a solenoid on the passenger inner wing (i believe) will this cause that problem

also i had another thought is it becuase the fuel pump is from a 1.2 16v so it doesnt have enough pressure for the injectors to work properly ?????
