F28 gearbox - PVD do a simple 2wd conversion kit for this at £120 i think

driveshafts and hubs - are included in the PVD conversion kit

it will spin like a bitch, so a LSD will be needed if u want to race it propley

handleing wont be grate, but who gives a fuck, how many people race on a circuit and how many people race in a straight line?

C20LET is lovly to tune, wallace performance do loads of kits

4wd corsa has been done, some motor x teams have them, expensive tho

u can allways have a rear mounted engine with Rwd, that would be so much fun with a C20LET!!!!

You could use the F20 gearbox from astra GTE's, cavalier/calibra 2.0's etc, but will last a couple of months before it drops from your car after being chewed.

You will find great hassle fitting this engine. It has been done on the past many times but there a lots of problems. eg, the gearbox needed ideally for this engine is the F28 gearbox from the 4WD calibras and cavaliers. It is tough as shit but a 4wd box. You would have to convert the F28 into 2wd, which can be done. Then there are driveshafts to think about which have to be as close to the same length as possible as there is so much torque from that engine. another factor is grip levels. You will be constantly wheelspinning. The 20let engine can be tuned very well and can see over 350bhp with bigger turbos, strengthening , intercoolers, boost levels etc. You would be mad to have this much power in 2wd, so think about a 4wd conversion. Not sure if this has been done on corsas before though. I know it has been done on Novas a few times. Also that engine is rather heavy and much strengthening will be required in the engine bay and contact points therein.

Well i have been looking at this engine:
2.0i 16v Turbo C20LET (204bhp)

What does everyone tbink about this engine? How much would i be able to tune it.

why not go for a 156bhp 2.0ltr 16v engine, it will be more powerfull and more tunable being a motorsport engine.

I'm going for the 1.8 16v out of the old vectra sri and then whack TB on it, light and can b tuned..
Just gotta find the engine.

You can do V6 but the dam thing is so heavy and it wrecks handling I wouldn't bother

u can put upto a 3 litre in the front wit great difficulty, but good look gettin around corners. 2 litrem turbo is the best option, talk to beardy about this as he does conversions. :)

Whats the biggest engine size for a conversion. I know you can get 2.0 turbos from pvd. Just wondering if you can go any bigger. I heard that you could get a V6 but i thought it was bollox.

So is it 2.0 turbo?

Cheers
