I don't want to prove anything yet... they have only been on for about 10 hours!!! Knowing my luck, something will go wrong. I'll get pics up over the weekend.

Across the tread it was 7.5, they were just weird fat tyres called Stunners.

Also Gambit, its lowered 40mm already

Isn't the maximum you can fit in the corsa arches 7.5"? Dunno how those 8" fitted it was on standard suspension tho.

Umm a 195 tyre is approx 7.8" wide. I'd be very very surprised if the wheels were 8" wide, 8x15s aren't exactly a common wheel size.

Ah, I'm just hoping my new wheels go on without much rubbing, I managed to get an 8" wide 15" rim ET35 on my old Corsa, so it shouldn't be hard to get a 7" 16 ET35 on.

the tyre can be wider then the actual wheel.

S21NMP

posted on 19th Mar 03 at 12:58

Yeh, but the wheel was 16x6.5

3CorsaMeal

where u get 6.5 from

On the tyre u get 195/45/16

195 is the width of tyre, in mm = 195mm

45 is the side wall height as a percentage of the width.

16 is the size of rim its meant to fit, in inches!

anyone?

I am a little confused about these wheel measurements! I know that the 16" is in the centre line of the wheel, and thats why they actually measure 17" when measured from the outside lip, but does the same apply for the tyre walls? My wheels are supposed to be 6.5" thick, but they actually measure 7" thick???

PLEASE HELP!
