Check watt the Ahm of the original battery is. If its a 1.0 or 1.2 it is probably 36ahm. This is what I had in my new corsa 1.2 sxi, i have since upgraded to a 55ahm (bought from vauxhall keeps the warrenty intact) and had no problems with dimming headlights etc.
I am running:

Pioneer 7400mp3 HU
pioneer 6x9s
infinity 6" in doors
JBL power series 400 rms (1600w MAX) sub
Alpine 757 V12 amp 350 rms (750w MAX)
Sony 4x100w bridged to 2 channel to power doors speakers.

REMEMBER not to buy to big a battery as the alternator has to charge it.
I spoke to Vauxhall direct and asked them what the biggest battery a 1.2 alternator could run, and they told be to go no bigger than 60ahm. Same for 1.0.
Hope this was of help.:)
