u need about 160lbs springs on the front to take the weight of the 2.0

but if your going to have a 200bhp 1.6 you wont want standard shocks n springs as that would be dangerous. you can use normal sport shocks and custom springs are no more expensive then normal lowering ones. You'll also find that most lowering ones are stiff enough to handle the bigger engines. My -40mm GMax shocks n springs hardly budged (less then a cm) when I stuck a 2ltr in.

true m8 - but one of the downsides of fitting a c20let is the weight of the engine. with a 1.6 u wont need to put custom shox/springs on as the weight will roughtly be the same as factory :)

yeah but for the same amount of money why not spend it on the c20let?

depends on how big ur wallet is, as u can make a 1.6 turbo as quick as a standard c20let if u have the cash, but yeah i reckon the c20let will be more reliable

the only advantage of a 1.6 Turbo would be individuality.

2.0l turbo cos vaux actually made one much more reliable and a lot cheaper.

If they where both the same price, and offered same reliability......then i would choose the 2.0t conversion, because its got more cc - more room for further tuning too.
