Yeah and lightness, power to weight! and it'll handle miles better than 2.0l

u need about 160lbs springs on the front to take the weight of the 2.0

but if your going to have a 200bhp 1.6 you wont want standard shocks n springs as that would be dangerous. you can use normal sport shocks and custom springs are no more expensive then normal lowering ones. You'll also find that most lowering ones are stiff enough to handle the bigger engines. My -40mm GMax shocks n springs hardly budged (less then a cm) when I stuck a 2ltr in.

true m8 - but one of the downsides of fitting a c20let is the weight of the engine. with a 1.6 u wont need to put custom shox/springs on as the weight will roughtly be the same as factory :)

d0gz_bollox

yeah but for the same amount of money why not spend it on the c20let?

stuyw

depends on how big ur wallet is, as u can make a 1.6 turbo as quick as a standard c20let if u have the cash, but yeah i reckon the c20let will be more reliable

so they told you the 1.6Turbo would be better but didnt give a reason? hmmm personally if I was tuning a 1.6 id go for the TB route.

2ltr 16v turbo is obviously the better route since its 200bhp as standard. the 1.6 is around 100bhp. so your gonna need to find anothe 100bhp before your equal bhp wise with the 2ltr. And being a 1.6 you'll still loose since the 2ltr will have more torque (and wont blow up!!)!

c20let turbo anytime

Macca G, nah i anit done a conversion yet but would like to when i turn 21-22!!! insurance wont quote!!!

2.5V6 corsa not worth doin!!! only fast on straights but not round bends!!!!

2.0l turbo cos vaux actually made one much more reliable and a lot cheaper.

Plymouth_Corsa

If they where both the same price, and offered same reliability......then i would choose the 2.0t conversion, because its got more cc - more room for further tuning too.

depends how much money you have. Can get 370bhp from the box with the LET and a phase 4 kit
