No on powerful Alpine units they recomend you replace the factory posive/earth for thicker wiring because it has quite a current draw for a h.unit. Dont bother going to get an alpine extension if they even do one, just get the thicker wiring youreself or get a local ICE shop to put it in, its a v.easy job. | |

well I was looking at my manual and the live on the head unit has to go to the positive on the car battery, but the lead on the loom bit aint long enough and plus it has the wrong end, it has no ring on it to go on the battery! | |

Does anyone know where I can get one of those 12v power lead extension thingies I need to install my new head unit? I bought one today after travelling 50 miles to get one, get back home and i found out I need one of these to fit it!!! Why didn't the git in the shop tell me I needed one! |
