Yeah I did think it was a very low number for what they're doing :lol: I've not seen these bolts myself but the only assumption I can give is that they're small bolts and will shear if done much higher than that.

8Nm probably wouldn't be hard by hand tbf :lol:

I allways wonder why its set so low. My tourqe wrench doesnt even go that low. The only reason I can think is that they are very small bolts and if you tighten too much they will snap, but then again they are securing quite a vital part of the engine on :lol:

8 Nm or 6 lb/ft :thumbs:

does anybody know the torque setting for the bolts that hold the bearing caps for the camshaft please?

they came loose so replacing and adding loctite but dont know the torque setting!
