quote: Who's got the car? first thing to do is test the battery during cranking. Is the car and spanner light flashing or just the battery light? If the spanner light is flashing it will probably mean the immoboliser is not recognising the key. Is there not a seperate ECU light on the new corsa?

I will find out, if I get them to jump it (could pop round on the way home) would this start the car even if the battery is screwed?

Battery may be goosed and holding no charge, have you tried jump starting the car or trying a different battery?
