All depends how much you want to be able to listen to the tunes with youre engine off? If you really do then look into using a second battery, split charged with a relay so that you can bump the tunes when parked for as long as you like until the battery if flat and then you still have the other to start the car. If you did this you'd need a battery that be deep-cycled (flattened right down then re-charged) as normal wet batteries cant. Optima do a yellow top for around £190 and you can either mount it in the boot or make a custom battery tray somewhere under the bonnet to hold the extra battery but you'd need a small engine to be able to do that.

Yeah - ever drive in the dark wif yer system on at a nice volume??
Check how u get the headlight beam weaken on every Beat.
No way would i have the car engine off when i have the Sound boomin...
My setup is as follows -
Corsa C Standard Speakers (2 tweeters, 2 door speakers, 2 rear mid speakers)
1 Sony Xplod CD700X 4x50w
1 Pair Sony Xplod 220W 3way 6x9's in back shelf
1 Sony Xplod 12" Sub in the Boot
1 Sony Xplod 800 Watt Amp
Sub and 6x9's run from the Amp - 3way
So approx 1000watts of sound system
When i'm driving home from anywhere the rear lights and headlights dim on every beat.. its mad - like a mobile disco!!
Just goes to show, the power from the battery isn't THAT good.. not to support a big sound.
But then, The standard battery probably isn't designed for that kinda stuff.:P

Hey ya'll, got a small prob wiv my system. Here's Wot i got:
Sony 'Active Black Panel' Head Unit
Infinity 6 x 9's
Standard front door speakers
Vibe Active 10 incher in da boot.

After treating me + my bird to some eats at the local Macky's we went outto the car park to eat our meals. We had the stereo on while we were sat there and after about 15-20mins we were set to leave. I turned the ignition and i had no battery. Surely in 15 - 20 mins the sub cant have drained that much power from the bat? I had the bat checked not long b4 this happened and its fine.

Any advice?!?
