if it definately has gone aas well, dont simply replace it, u need to find out exactly why it broke, and exact reason and get taht sorted otherwise, u'll just keep breaking them.

try driving in third gear at bout 50 mph and bout 3000 4000 rpm for a bit when you next drive it. this may clear any shit that has got caught up in it.
