well couldnt i just trolley jack it under the axle and place an axle stand at the place at the front where you would normally use a normal car jack, to jack it up?

Wot front or back, 1 side or both?

There should be two jacking points either side, if you cant get to them cos the kits in the way, youll have to jack it up in another place. A structural part of the vehicle is always good- subframe(bit that holds the engine in pace), as for the axle stands, box section of the chasis, check for brake and fuel pipes touch these and your fucked.

If you cant get the jack or the stands in the right place safely, dont bother, take it to a garage who can do it safely. No fucking point in crushing yourself for the sake of a few quid.
