The wheel was dented (took some pics but none showed it very well) but took it to Lepsons and they acid dipped it, knocked the dent out and then repainted it for about £60. You wouldn't even know it had been done unless you noticed that the valve is different to the others

Mine wasnt that bad just the plate behind behind the stub axle was bit bent.

Did you wheel survive dave? I'm nearly sorted go a new one from the scrappy £30 just have to do the brakes and I'm done.

Might have enough time to get a few more handbrake turns in

I did the same as you last year mate

Have a look under the car, it'll be obvious if the beam is bent. It should be straight instead of like this:

Go down the scrappy and get a new one for about £40

its what the wheel/drum/bearings etc are being held on by, its just 4 star screws holding it on.....

What's the stub axle and how do you change it? I've also done this but it's not too bad.

same as above. both were bent on mine and the wheel was also knackered.

Could be both. I changed the stub axle and the wheel was still pissed so had to change the beam.

Hit a curb a bit to hard in the ice and the rear wheel is on th piss.

Is this a new beam or does the stub axle give up before that
