chances are that the oil is cold, as the oil wen cold is alot thicker than wen its warm as it thins down and lubricates alot easier

Use the breather at the top :)
2litres fills the ENTIRE gearbox, and theres a wee plug, like a sump plug at the bottom!

It also could be you're linkage btw, it wouldn't only happen in the cold, but if it feels like your hitting a wall, then slidding againest that wall to get into gear, i'd say your linkage is slightly out.

I did think of the gearbox oil but ive also read posts before saying it could be clutch or the gear linkage not lined up properly, i just wanted more information on whatever was suggested.

Anyway, gearbox oil... where abouts on the GB do u put this stuff in?

Mine does the same. 1.4 sport though. I haven't bothered worrying about it tbh. But if someone could shed some light it would be appreciated!

Cheers.

im thinking its to do with the oil not having chance to circulate?

basically i have a problem, when starting from cold, i can pull off select & all the gears etc, until I have to stop at a junction. it's really stiff to get into first. only does it when its cold. help
