front calipers are about 2 month old and were bought in practically new condition (2.0 16v ones). the back end moves up as if the handbrakes on, but worth a check nevertheless

Jack up the rear of the car and check the wheels spin freely.. If they do check the front. I've seen more front calipers seize than rear drums.

yup, the shoes of the drum sit very close to the drum anyway so they could still seize on even with the handbrake off, nothing to worry about

in the mornings or after long periods of time, when i go to drive off it feels as if the handbrakes on when it isnt, as if somethings sticking/seizing. when it does move it makes a bang then its fine, drives away with no problems. a first i thought it was the handbrake but the past few nights ive left it in gear with the handbrake off and it still does it. |
