Sounds like something more serious than a thermostat to me. Do you get any faults up?

"Opels were made to burn the shit outta of them", is that aimed at me?

no, the car runs perfectly normal, other than when you push the clutch in for the car to idle, it dies, not even an attempt to fire and keep going

does it sound like its totally firing wrong?

Opels were made to burn the shit outta of them. Told by Delta technician.
Never have the car cut out when very hot, hardly ever gone oved the midway (95' degrees celcius).

well your car does die when it overheats. u could try taking out the termostat and run it like that.

Not sure about this but i thought i would mention that you should never rev the tits off a "cold" engine. It will die long before it should otherwise.

Hi,

This has happened to me three or four times now.

I start the car in the morning, (Not Cold here in South africa) and the car wont IDLE for nothing. I Rev the Sh!t out of it, and still nothing. Even when i get onto the highway, it cuts out if i push the clutch in and wait. I also noticed that the Motors temp gauge was not working as normal, yet when at work the car is extremly hot.

Anyone out there experience this before and fixed it. Last time Delta "Vauxhall" dealers replaced the injector rack and injectors, and for 3 months it's been fine.

Could a faulty Thermostate cause the car not to idle ??

Please give advise if you have any.

Thanks
