the subs 400rms and the amp is 500rms, well matched, or so you would think. The amp is actually 500RMS @ 2ohms and the sub only has a single 4 ohm voicecoil. youre gonna need an amp which is 400 rms at 4 ohms or a sub which has dual 4 ohm coils.

It all comes down to (and always will do) BUDGET. If you dont want to fork out around £150 for some front speakers then your system will be let down.

That amp is bang on for running that sub. Should sound wicked. to dynamat the boot, you need to strip the boot of all bits n bobs untill its metal (i dont mean scratch off your paint). Then cover as much of the boot as possible with the dynamat sheets. heat them up and they will bond to the metal, this will reduce the rattle and general noise. cover as many panels as you can, cos you will be making a lot of noise with that setup. It will also make your system sound a lot nicer.

Steve.

PS they give you instructions on the Dynamat packs.

How many RMS is the Sub?? I can never remember all the ratings. ERRRMMM are you gonna get some speakers up front?? (I know you will do) If the Sub is around 300RMS then that is fine.

Over Powering is Better than Underpowering. So long as its not too far over. Like over double the RMS rating.

Seems like you got the right idea there tho. Will sound pretty clear, just need to Dynamat the boot etc....

Steve.
