Right, to it into today, they have had a look at the moment it looks like one of the injectors have gone. But they need to take off the manifold to have a look at it. The compression is ok

Is this a big & expensive job?

Same for engine, i think you will find most cars with a fair bit of mileage are a bit rough on cold mornings, its no big deal, just get out there and drive it, not sit at home and look at it out of your window.

kris d the gearbox is stiff coz the oil has not lubricated it from cold there fore its stiff til the oil circulates

mine feels proper rough from start up when its cold.

Could be the automatic choke like u said but u dont both have peformance air filters or induction kits or anythin like that do u? because this can cause cold start problems too. Specially this time of year some poeple even take em off in the winter. I no experet or anythi but this is what i've been told! :lol:

mine does this aswell mostly on really cold mornings like you say once its warmed up its fine and runs like a dream but its like a little hesitation at first and then sort of like the engine is giving its all but its not enough

Lately when starting the car it seems to struggle to get going. It dosn't do it all the time, when the engine gets warmer its fine.
Could it be something to do with the automatic choke???

Please help!
