your car will be fine if you leave it with the battery off, lke grez said, start it once a fortnight or a week and let it idle for 5 minutes or so.

Also, if you plan to leave it for a long time, don't leave petrol in the tank, it'll go off.

Just get a trickle charger, or one of then solar panel chargers.

Only thing is, when you disconnect the battery for more than an hour, the ecu makes a coldboot, which means factory defaults.. and then when you fire it up first time it will take 5-10 seconds to calibrate itself.. meanwhile it calibrates the car will run a little 'chucka-chuka-chucka' ;)

nope i was banned for a year and to save the battery ive been disconecting it and connecting it once a week to just fire the engine over till warm so no engine problems occured but never a problem with the battery or ecu ect

I don't use my Corsa that often, 300-400 miles since April this year.
Battery is a problem now, it's flat and will need a bump start to get things going.

Was wondering if its okay to leave the battery wires off to save some power :lol:
If there is any problems, maybe with the ecu ? without a little constant power to the car :boggle:
