Cheers Kenni. My new drivers side looms don't have that small clip that goes on the lock/deadlock. These wires go to some other sort of connector so I'm gonna take the ends off and swap them over.

I bought a pair the other week - £15 and £5 p&p.

Would have had them otherwise wainey. Shame I couldn't fit them though!

I've got everytinh to go on the car, just stumpted well and truly by my lack of connections :(

Thanks for the offer mate.

As it turns out, the answers to my above questions turn out to be:

1. Don't work
2. There's nothing in the car, no spare connections in the loom plug thingy
4. Don't work

This has posed me with numerous problems - why can't my car have the wiring in it!

Cheers Kris!

Just one question then - Ive got the loom - it all the cables for inside the door - how do I swap my old cables for ny new ones without disconnecting my central locking cable from my door locks?

Would it mess up the system then?

Rich

Hi All,

I've just unpacked my second hand electric windows and have now ogt a few questions. If anyone knows the answers please put the question number next to your answer as Ive quite a lot and need em all answering!

Here goes!

1. Ive now got electric mirror looms - if I connect the loom up will I then just be able to plug in lectric mirrors and they will work?

2. If I plug the new loom in will everytihng else be ready in the car - eg fuses and wiring - ie if I plug the looms into each door will the drivers side be able to control the passenger side without any wiring inbetween?

3. If I disconnect my central locking connectors (from my old loom) will this cause me any problems when I re-connect them with my new loom? They are also something to do with my Toad Alarm.

4. If I plug in my electric window motors to the loom and plug the loom into the door will they work? or is there anytihng else I need to do?

5. With Electric Mirrors do you have to buy complete mirrors or can you just buy the heaters and the motor and fit them to manual ones?

I'll probably be fitting my electric windows next weekend and wantt o be as prepared as possible. Got a Haynes Manual but doesn't say anything about the above.

Thanks a lot for any replies!

Rich
