I chopped the outer rubber shell of then pulled like mad! It came off. The orig got again from scrappy-it came off dead easy somereason?? Prob cost £2 as got few bits.

I've got a richbrook one and im still to fit it. where abouts did you hacksaw through it? and how much did the original cost you from vaux?

Tried kicking it! Even tried hitting it all sorts began to annoy me. Still driveable just have watch dont put it in reverse instead of 1st. Gear knob I got is Vaux one complete circular designed for lift up anyway.
Chopped old one off got new gear knob now

Im replacing me gear knob back to the orig one with lift up collar. The problem I got at the moment is that when I lift up the collar the spring doesn't push it back down again so it stays lifted. The collar section is a bit stiff to move?!

Any ideas what I can do to make it work people?
