that flywheel is the sort of thing sbd do as there super light flywheel... needs special ring gear and starter motor..

but as sand eel its more than likely a sensor is causing it to hesitate, but a super light flywheel will cause a lumpy idle

3 kilos for a flywheel is very light!

If its missing a bit its probably just a sensor is fucked.

It's not unsprung weight or mass.

It's taking weight off a component attached to the engine, nothing to do with unsprung.

weight mass same difference

if the flywheel is that light it can cause lumpy idle

i think he meant mass

Unsprung weight is weight not supported by the suspension like wheels and brakes etc, not a flywheel

hmm yer il change the plugs and see how it goes then, i think the flywheel fitted only weighs 3k

He's talking crap, if its hesitating slightly when you rev it them there is something wrong with it. . As the flywheel is sposed to increase throttle responce by reducing the amount of un sprung weight the engine has to move to complete a revolation.. Yes a light weight flywheel can cause lumpy idle but thats only if its a really light weight one tho iirc.. Check the plugs and leads for any tracing, and if its a dizzy cap engine check for any moisture in it and also for cracks and corrosion on the routor arm.. Then its afm and cts checking time.

just put a c20xe engine into my corsa and is idlein really lumpy..also it idles at 1k wen it should idle at 900rpm i was told by the boy i bought it off that wen he had it he fitted a fast road clutch and a lightened flywheel and it was wen he fitted the lightened flywheel it started to be lumpy..

just wonderin would that cause it to by lumpy and idle slightly higher? also its missin abit wen u giv it a quick rev it delays? ne ideas?
