Well they fitted under the 14" alloys that came as STANDARD with the GTE's. and they fitted under my SRi 14" alloys.

As long as they are 14" and 5.5j Wide and dont have some stupid shaped design then they will be fine. Its close though

GTE brakes will fit under 14" alloys that are 5.5J wide. Are your brakes the single plate ones or vented? if they are vented they'll do for a 1.6. non-vented ones shouldnt be allowed on cars.

If you dont mind getting your hands dirty you can pick up bigger brakes (astra's etc) from any scrappy for next to nothing. Discs n Pads aint that expensive either.

Only problem with V6 ones are that you need to get your V6 discs drilled to 4 holes, but not everyone knows someone that can do it so you have to pay the expensive prices seen in mags etc.

V6 are only needed really if you get lots of brake fade from the GTE callipers, but GTE callipers in corsas/novas can take quiet a thraping.

Also, 1.2 8v calipers will be crap 1 pot things.... and yeah, you wouldn't fit wider discs under them...

PVD do a kit which has Astra-style 16v calipers, EBC disks and new pads... give them a call. They also do a V6 conversion but apparently the pedal feel will be a bit bad...

chances are big dics wont fit under the callipers.
