any car after 1992 all have cat's on. the c in the engine number donates the cat i.e. c14se, c16xe - c20xe the early gte 16v was donated 20xe which i think was from 1989 to 1992.

The only way you could get round this would be to either do engine coversation to 2.0 16v before 1992 or a late k-reg sri 1.4 nova same engine as corsa but doesnt have a cat.

every car produced in and after 93 will have a cat by law!!! and must have one for mot!!!!

Might be a stupid question but I am getting a performance maniflod and if I have a CAT, I want to get rid of that too
