dunt knwo battery on my meter died piece of turd lol.but i charged my car battery fully and the charger sed it was fine

rite i had a look at the corsa today went over it with a voltmetre wen it was running was saying 16 volts is that ok.and now i kno wthe altenator is working wat else could it be thanx

Run the engine and check the battery with a multimeter. You can get them at loads of places like Maplin, even Argos sell them but it costs twice as much for the same thing. If it is reading somewhere between 13 and 15 volts then the alternator is fine.

Stop the engine then test the battery again. If it stays at around 12.5v then it has charged, if not then it is not charging correctly. If it starts dropping then the battery is either not holding charge or there is an electrical issue somewhere on the car that is causing power to be drained.

It may just be a case of that the battery needs replacing. Don't go to Halfords as it's an utter rip off. Go to a local motor factors and you'll get one for half the price.

i have a corsa gsi with a c20xe in it and the battery dusnt seem to be charging havnt got a battery light on the dash so fink altonator is ok wat else cud it be thanx
