yeh thats wat i fort why didnt they just lift it up abit on the ramp till you could get the trackin machine under....?
i also noticed today in the petrol station my front wheels have quite a noticeable bit of camber? looks cool but i doubt its doin any good to the car or the tyers?

The garges are total dicks then. I had a similar problem with my old GSI as the tracker couldn't read the opposite wheel as it was too low. I came back with 3 bricks under each front wheel, it let them sort the tracking. Typical thick 'garage grease monkies' that cannot think outside the box.

right well i went to a few garages today including kiwk fit and found out that becouse my car is lowered 80mm at the front none of the trackin machine things will fit on my wheels.... so the guy in kwik fit said there was a garage a few miles away that had a drive on tracking machine,
so i went over there and he said that the machine wont work even if it did fit on the wheel becouse it been lowered it gets camber anyway so wat ever the machine read wouldnt make a differnce ....? is this true?
i dont no wat to do now :/

It will be towing in at present. Both camber and tracking will be out now you have lowered it.

I was only saying that because I had to do the remove my rod end on one side to change a CV. Didn't do anything with the height setting, lined it all back up the way it was - now my tracking's out and the steering wheel sits at an angle. I've had the camber and toe checked and they're fine. I was careful not to fuck about with the track rod end, so I too can't see how it's happened. I assumed this was the problem because I can't see how else it could have happened.

It's not necessarily because it's lower, just because the track rod ends will have been moved when they swapped the front struts over. Take it to somewhere that does tracking and it should sort out the wonky steering wheel.
