well the idle control valve lets a certain amount of air bypass the tb,but the air that it will be getting now wont have been measured by the afm so it will knock the fueling out etc.

That would be why..

And i suppose it was worse when i throttled, as the air it was taking in was just silly amounts...?

it should run with the vacums off although not very well, but it wont run with that pipe off.

That was my next thought - That sounds exactly like the problem to me - As when i shoved the pipe up a little better, it worked better for a few seconds... DUH! lol

Which vacuum..?

There's so many pipes.. I've yet to connect all of them - There's the one from the front of the TB that i've yet to connect to the rocker... and I need an ecotec adapter and exhaust - Hopefully with the above it'll idle at least :)

As above..

I finally got her to start today!
With the help from my nice vauxhall dealer letting me try part of a lucas dizzy on my Bosch one and being successful...

Anyway, she fired up no problemo...

BUT

Won't stay running - and any slight mention of throttle she's gone - Also won't tick over..

Now i have no Exhaust on there - Just manifold as of yet - And i havent got the Ecotec adapter, so though the pipe goes up to the TB, its not actually connected / Fitted right...

Would this effect?

It starts and runs up to around 2k ish and then just dies out - Could it be air flow?

I've also still got some rad hoses to get, so there's no water etc i literally wanted to start and see how she ran...

Good news is that she's started - Bad news obviously is the running issue...

Any suggestions?
Cheers
