Still no joy, ive tried connecting the wires so as they are crimmped together like they are in teh SXi, but that still doesnt work.

As soon as i connect the alarm wire to the black/white wire the box in this picture which has the green and yellow wire going into, the plug above the green wire clicks each time the indicators would flash. Unplug it and it doesnt click :boggle:

I thought black/green is O/S and black/white is N/S.

So the driver side wires (black/white) have 12v running through them

The passenger wires (green/black) have no current at all, but all indicators work with hazzards on :boggle:

Good plan.
I presume the alarm wire would need to be connected to the live for the pass side and the live for the driver side also....

BRB

Right, CL works :D

Cant get pass idincators to work though :s
Ive swapped the wires round connecting them to different ones.

All i ended up with different to what i have now was driver indicators working and some AC related thing in the bay clicking :| So i put them back, clicking went, but still only driver indicators!!!! gay.

I gave up when the rain set in about 5pm

Got wires into the bay, going to set siren and wire it in today/tomorrow.
Just lacking space to mount the silver box/alarm box in a car with aircon. There isnt any room :|

Think i found somewhere though ;)

Ive just taken it out, having a break and then imma try fit it to the sport.

I labelled the wires up as to which colour they attach to but as for what they actually do, ive not a clue.

Scared me when i saw all the wires being black

I've just removed the AI606 from my Cav and fitted it to the Corsa.
U2U if you need any advice, It's quite an easy alarm to install.
Have to marked up the wires when cutting them from the original car? Makes things so much easier.

Success :D Well, sort of :o

The alarm is out, thats the easy bit i guess, need to remove the other and refit it all again yet

On the plus side, i now know the model number of the Laserline alarm - SLH919

Google is bringing up nothing of any use/relevance :(

An immobiliser does what it says on the tin, it 'immobilises' the car.. Modern factory immobilisers tend to be an integral part of the management system, they will send a code to the ECU to tell it to activate without the code the ECU is useless and thus the car will never start.

After market immobilisers will cut off one or more circuits normally the fuel pump and the starter solenoid an alarm with a built in immobiliser wont have any 'extra parts' it will just have one or more pairs of wires that can be used to immobilise one or more circuits.

Although some really high end alarm systems have remote wireless immobolisers that can be fitted inline in a circuit for sale the fuel pump to prevent thieves from tracing the wires.

Im going to try and swap my alarms over from the SXI to the sport.

Both alarms are wired up and work, both with an immobiliser.

Thing is, i dont know what an immobiliser consists of, so im flying blind. Anyone know what they look like ?

Ive got the installation manual for the Toad Ai606, and going to look on web now for one for the Laserline on in the sport :o

Thanks.
