Yup turn it to position one and I found using an allen key perfect for poking into the hole.

its 1 had to take mine out and you need to poke a little nail or something simmilar into a hole to release the barrell

You're going to need to turn the key to position 1 or 2 to be able to remove the old barrel.
I can't remember if it's 1 or 2.

split the key yaself and swap the lil black chip into ur new fresh key

The transponder/reader isnt part of the barrel, it just comes off, only bit you need to change is you'll need to transfer the chip to the new key.

If changing the ignition barrel then no, It's a straight swap.
Can you turn the key in the ignition?

need to ask a quick question, ive broken my ignition by snapping the key in the barrel, going to buy another one but will i also need to change the ecu and the black transponder/immobiliser block thing aswell ?
