The Corsa seat runners did have a recognised problem and were recalled by Vauxhall to be rectified. I think I still have a copy of the letter with my paperwork.
I can't see there being any grounds for complaint on a 10 year old car (might be worth a try though). But for the '99 T reg, it should definately be sorted by Vauxhall free of charge, assuming you have the same problem they were recalled for.
I'll try and find a copy of the letter and see exactly what the fault was.

Different fault.....the recall was for non - height adjustable seats...mines was height adjustable therefore vaux advised me to go take a run and jump

They did send it to corsa owners of the 93 GSI as i have the letter you are reffering to aswell, but not on me so can't be sure what part it is reffering too.

I presume by sending this letter out to the people who they sold the cars too covers them for any future liability.

Im sure if the owners then sell the car, then the new owners can't moan at vauxhall as they didn't buy it from them. If you get what i mean.

Blooy ell. Thats a bit bad. Thing is, being a car thats 10 years old, i doubt u'll have much grouds to go back to vauxhall. U can try, but i think u'll just need to repair/replace it.
