there should be a switch to chance from bass to trebel so you can use 6x9s but i would jus get a new amp for them

yea there was just bass on the 6*9's ill buy another amp at the weekend

i would lay money on it not being earth problems and if hes running fusion/infinity i cant see him having a mega powefull head unit where he can control the RCA output to the point where it distorts like mad

and like ya said davey theres no way he can run 6x9s & sub off that amp and sound nice because you would either have bass thru 6x9s or trebal thru the sub

check your earth is good and the RCA output isnt up to high on the head unit.

chances are matey if your 6x9s sound ok without amp and not with then it means that the shitty lil infinities are fubard people with a small budget should go for jbl as they take sum poo and theyre cheap

You can either run your sub through the two outer terminals.. Or a 6x9 on each side, not both..

markus run your 6x9s off your head unit untill you get another amp then wire the -sub wire to the left- and wire the +to the right+ thats how you bridge these cheapy amps up

or you could pop it all to my house and i will give you £2 for the lot so i can give it to charity lol can ya tell i hate FUSION aaaaarrrrggggg lmao

amp is for sub only, buy a seperate one for the 6x9s will be better = louder / clearer

Markus

no it doesnt have bridged mode
when i had them both running i just connected them all up and had them in the amp ports, the amp was active as i could adjust it etc.

whats the best way to do it seen as i dont have a clue on audio.

thanks for help !

I can't see a way that would work. You'll either need to run the amp in bridged mode (does it have this?) to power the sub alone or stereo mode with a 6x9 to each output.

No idea how it would run both.

Unless you just connected the 6x9s to the OE speaker terminals which then run off the headunit.

i had them all working before thats what i dont understand, i have a pic i will upload in a few moment.
it was in my old corsa and worked fine with the 6*9's and the sub attached to the amp

The Fusion bass package has an amp just designed to power the Sub iirc.

From your description, the amp isn't powerful enough and doesn't have enough channels to power the 6x9s and Sub together.

this is doing my head in now.

i have a fusion 12" bass package with a 475watt amp. i also have 2 6x9's

Whats the best way to wire them up? i've tried so many different times its now annoying.

Ive tried to hook the 6*9's to the amp and all i get is a small bass note even on volume 50 when i hook them up to the sub it just crashes and i get the red light
i dont have a clue how you do them, pictures or a tutorial would be great

ps - the speakers work fine when hooked up to the original wires just not with the amp, the amp was working fin when taken out

cheers
