yep, daves right, the date goes but the temp still works. and its the gray wire with the red stripe, im quite sure about that, but not postitve.

The temp gague on my corsa has recently stoped working and ive heard a few other people on here have had the same problem, it just reads --.-c think it might be the sensor, but i havent got around to having a proper look yet. If youve got an older corsa you might have had the same problem. could just be a coincidence that iit happened at the time you fitted the head unit.

MINE STILL WORKED. JUST THE DATE THAT DISSAPEARS WHEN U TURN THE HEAD UNIT ON. UNLESS U CUT THE GREY WIRE.

I THINK ITS THE GREY WIRE CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THAT

ive got a sony head unit and by temp gauge in the center console dont work is this normal with an after market head unit?
