I had the wheel off last night, there is no play in the wheel hub, had a qucik look round the the shocks and arm, but couldn't see anything obvious.

IO pushed the pads away and cleaned behind them , but it's still making the noise. Looks like it's ajob for the vauxhall monkeys :(

Quoted me about £305 for fitting new Gsi calipers :(

Could be the CV joints running dry, check the rubbers.

i think to test the wheel bearings, you need to jack the car up and push the wheels in and pull them out and if the move, then it is probably the bearings. Not 100% sure of that but is what i heard,

What about a warped disc, do you go hard on the breaks as i think this can course it.

could be, but I thoght the wheel bearing would make a more of a grating sound, and would make the noise constantly.

Got me stumped, :(

Wheel bearing?
Does the wheel become hot to touch?
U don't want anything bonding.

I have a nasty sound coming from the front left hand side wheel. It sounds like the brake is sticking, and gives a groaning sreeching sort of noise.

It only does it when I'm going in a straight line and stops when I push the brake pedal or turn the steering wheel. Seems to get worse when I accelerate, but it doesnt do it all the time, it starts after about 10 mins of driving and seems to be getting louder.

Any ideas what was wrong??? Cheers peeps :)
