Is there any modification to the car needed to fit these on or do they just slot on where the old ones come off?

Its something called surface rust ;)

When they are fitted thatll be cleaned off by the pads...did you ever fit yours?

This may be better in the help forum. The cheapest upgrade will be 256mm disks/calipers/pads from an Astra GTE 16v/GSi/Cavalier GSi etc.

These can be picked up for around £60 or pay £150 for brand new uns.
