Put it on full locj and drive rounf ina tight circle at a constant speed. If you hear the knocking sound again and again its a 90% chance its your CV joint.

Well I started to hear a knocking noise from my front left when i put it on full lock and it turned out to be a snapped spring!! Only had it on there for a week, brand new as well!!

Got a wee knocking noice coming from the front left, could this be a symptom of a CV joint on the way out?

Its faint, not to severe and it doesn't affect the way the car drives. Sometimes you hear it, sometimes you don't.

Any clues?
