1.2's are known for bad fuel consumption.

i ahve got a 58 plait mazda 3 atm and that thing just does over 200 miles to a tank driving it sensabley(sp) my old 14xe would do that on about £20

Surely I'd need to have a full tank to check if there was a leak on up the tank tho?

I'd thought of sensors but thought they would have brought a light on on the dash...maybe not though?

Go around the car with a lighter.

Na, just park on a bit of clean ground with the engine running, follow the fuel lines form what you can see of the tank forward.

But on the other hand it could be a problem with a fucked sensor or the like.

Hmmm...

How would I go about checking for a leak? Like if it was high in the tank?

Well i got the car a year ago and when youre behind it you smell a petrol/fumy smell but thats bound to be expected...not a pure petrol smell like
