got told that thermostat could be restricting the coolant and to take the inside of the thermostat out, i lukd at my old 1 and sum1 had cut holes in that. could this solve my problem an will it do any damage to engine if i did | |

yeh i thought it may have been that, also changed the radiator fan switch coz that didnt work and flushed it all out with a hose pipe, could this av caused an airlock? | |

i had this problem and needed a new thermoswitch/ sensor at the cost of £12 but since youve already replaced it id keep hunting for an air lock | |

the heaters work fine and very hot | |

let the car warm up with the coolant tank lid off.. Squeeze all the pipes. | |

deffo issues with an airlock somewere , just a case of squeeze all the pipes and bleed the air out . had this issue on a mates saxo . | |

ive got a 1.4 sport an just had the headgasket dun, but wen i drive about 5miles the temp is at about 99degrees i have put a new thermostat on an checked for an airlock n still no difference. |
